EVERY bear that ever there was gathered in Everton last Friday for certain because that was the day the teddy bears had their picnic.
The Everton playgroup’s Teddy bear picnic has been a highlight on the playgroup’s calendar for four years, and is a great chance for kids of all ages to enjoy a lovely spot of tea with their favourite teddy.
Around a dozen kids and their teddy bears were in attendance.
Event organiser and chief teddy bear ambassador, Bekki Hoppach, loves the tea party, which attracts kids from all over the Everton region as well as some of the primary school students.
“We had some new people come down just for this event,” she said.
“I took over as event organiser at the start of the year.
“All kids of any age are welcome.”
The Everton playgroup meets every Friday from 9.30am to 11am.
