WITH the current state of the world, it’s kids like Alice Appleby who shine a bright light into the gloom.
The 12 year old junior soldier with The Salvation Army has learnt to sew in one day and made around 50 face masks for people in need, who can’t afford them due to homelessness or other situations.
The face masks are used to protect against the coronavirus and are mandatory across the state under stage three and four restrictions.
